Day 5's topic is:  If I could change one thing about myself it would be____.

If I could change one thing about myself it would be my lack of patience. 
I have a short fuse, a very short fuse. In fact I don’t think I have a fuse at all. My temper combusts instantly, it explodes with no warning. 


However, just as quick as I have flown into my rage, hurling four letter words at top volume, the unfortunate recipient of my wrath has been blasted; it just as quickly dissolves and disappears.


The problem with this being that, the aftermath is much more damaging to the shattered people who have witnessed “The Big Bang”. They are standing with mouths agape and I expect them to accept my apologies and requests for forgiveness before they’ve even realised the sharpness of the pain I have caused.


I often feel that once I have apologised for my explosion, it can promptly be left in the past and I can move on.


This is selfish.


I know I need to take a step back and realise the magnitude of my eruptions. I wish I could know this before “The Big Bang” has happened. I wish I could monitor and gage when it is about to happen so that I can ring a fucking huge ass bell and warn myself to hold my tongue and censor words.


Can you change your general disposition?


Can you educate the art of patience to someone like me?

Today's topic is: What do you lie about the most?




I can bullshit the hind leg offa donkey to strangers - Bazinga! No True's Nuts!  I even have a saying for it that everyone rags me about.  "Lying Toad".  I can't even remember where I picked it up or who I'm heard it from first.

Anyhoozer, Lying to people I know and who know me well, I can't do it.  I KNOW there is a certain "look" I get when I lie and even I know when I pull "The Face".  

The instant I do it I feel it there - like a beacon for all to see. Its like an alarm going off: 

"Beep! Beep! Beep!  

Look at me I'm lying through my teeth.  

Beep! Beep! Beep!  

Yeah Fuckers, this is the "The Lying Face" can you see it?  

Beep! Beep! Beep! 

You've noticed haven't you? 

 Beep! Beep! Beep! 

You're now going to tell every one I'm lying aren't you?  

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Lying Bitch!

So, Plonkers I avoid lying to my close friends and family about stuff because I'm not very good at it.  I know I'll get caught or I know if they don't say anything, that they're just being polite and avoiding confronting me about it.  They will then go and tell their friends that I lied and spread the word that I'm a Lying Fucking Toad!

Then again this is the Bullshit Challenge, isn't it?

How Ya Goin?

The beautiful and lovely Green Eyed Momster bestowed this cool award upon me and I love it!  Thanx Hunni! 




Here are the options! (Be adventurous, it's not about embarrassment, just fun!)


1. Set up your camera on self timer (3 or 5 secs will be fine), hit the button and RUN in front of the camera view and try and get as far as you can before the shot is taken! Post it!! I'm sure your behind isn't as bad as you think!


2. In a conversation with someone work in the word "Woof" randomly, see how many times you can say it (With a straight face helps)... Post your score, and share their reaction!! example "Hey, woof you pass me the salt please?"... "I'll pick woof up in ten minutes, see you then!"


3. Before you go to hand something to someone, raise it to your nose for a second (As though you're sniffing it), and then hand it over casually as though nothing happened. The more mundane the object, the better the reaction you'll get! Such as a cd, money, phone..... Record the facial expression you receive in detail!! It's hilarious, trust me!


4. List 5 jokes that actually made you laugh out loud! REAL LOL's!!


5. Find a location, anywhere, room, backyard, bathroom, holding your camera spin around in a circle, press the shutter randomly, tell us all about what's in the picture (whatever it is!!!)! Doesn't matter if it's blurry, you'll clear things up! ;-)


I'm going with option two and five seeing as I love my Canon so much and I believe a picture tells a thousand words.  Option 4 seemed pretty kewl as well...(promise I'll keep 'em short)


Here is option two.  I set up my timer for 2 seconds and this is the shot I got. I'm still surprised I could move that quick!







Option 5.  When I did this Megan (who is at home sick with me today) asked me what on earth I was doing.  I spun around in the lounge a few times to get some different views with the camera.  She was lying on the couch under a blanket watching Nickelodeon and giggling at me like crazy. This is the interested shot I got - and I was able to entertain my daughter while doing it.







Option 4


I love short jokes because I have a bad memory.  If I can get a goodie that makes me really laugh out loud I store in my one liners (much easier to remember than an entire story with punch line).  One punch line.  My kinda joke!


Why did the squirrel cross the road?  Coz he couldnt' get his knob out the chicken.


Knock Knock?  Who's there?  I wannup.   
(you gotta say this one out loud)  so?  are you laughing yet or did I only get an eye roll or groan?


Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without a hard-on, make him a sandwich.


I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Show Your Best Side - Blog Challenge

Pink Hair Girl handed out a blog challenge lately and it really struck a cord with me.  I love taking photos, I take my camera wherever I go and I have thousands of pictures of my family and friends and other random shite.  Now, because I'm usually the one behind the Canon taking the photos, I don't have as many shots of  me than my precious peeps.

And.... many of us hate photos of ourselves.  I know certainly do.  I almost always end up deleting half of them or photoshop the mole on my face out because I hate it so much.  I normally point out how many wrinkles you can see and the fact that my face is so assemetrical.  I see many flaws that no one else seems to care about.


The challenge is to blog 5 pictures of yourself that you really like, and say 5 things you like about yourself. Then nominate 5 other bloggers to dig into their photo collection and lets share our better side. It can be so hard to appreciate ourselves but I think it is health to find things we like about ourselves.


I did this photoshoot as a present to my hubby 
before I lost 8kg and even still I was still happy with the results.
I thoroughly enjoyed this shoot and I felt very sexy that day.



This is my favourite photo of my Boerewors and me 
(even though I'm not wearing a stitch of make up and 
my eyes were scrunched up from looking into the sun)
We were sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and Megan pointed the camera at us,
My Boerewors put his arm around me and I was content and happy.
You can feel the love in this shot.





I love my girls and pictures with them are so special
If I can cuddle them both at the same time and capture that moment on a photo, I'm happy!


 


This picture was taken by Megan who was probably about 3½ at the time.
I love it for two reasons - because Megan took it and 
it was one of those call-yer-name-and-you-turn-around surprise snaps



This is also one of my favourites because it includes my precious mum and sister. 
I love them both very dearly and this picture shows how much I love them.




The five things I like about me:

1.  I like my sense of humour and my ability to make others laugh and feel good about themselves.
2.  I like my long eyelashes and blue eyes.
3.  I consider myself a strong woman with an unwavering point of view
4.  I am resiliant and resouceful.  I make it happen and I have a plan.
5.  I am unique.

When it finally reveals itself, the future, is never as it seems.


2. If you could have a room full of any one thing, what would it be?
Friends wearing their good moods and party hats.


3. What do you value most in other people? 
Integrity - willing to stand up for their beliefs and not scared to voice it.


4. If you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would it be?
Orange.  Its not quite as bold and in-yer-face red and not as puny and putrid as yellow.  Its happy, bright and vivid.


5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My quick and explosive temper.  Some people would say I'm fiesty, some people would say I'm a bitch.


6. If you could choose one of your personality traits to pass on to your children, what would it be?
My determination.


7. What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?
I would quit my office job and earn money blogging and as social networking expert.


8. Would you rather teach a young child to read or have to learn again for yourself?
I would rather teach.  Its like passing a little part of yourself on to someone.

Received : Step away from the Chocolate!
